Welcome to Continue The Fight
Men and women selflessly volunteered to fight for this country, uphold our Constitution and defend and protect the lives and liberties of every American. While young and able bodied, these men and women are sought after for their service and praised for their contribution to the American way of life. But, under the best of circumstances, most people walk away from military service with some minor issues or constraints. Many end up with life altering illness and injury that change these peoples lives forever.
Once a service member has completed their time with the military, either by serving out their years and careers, or being prematurely removed from service due to illness or injury sustained in the line of duty, many are seemingly pushed aside and forgotten about. No longer of use, these Veterans of our military are too often left feeling abandoned by the country they loved and supported.
We have not forgotten and we will not push anyone aside. Our name says it all. Here at CTF we are continuing the fight for our nation by fighting for and supporting our disabled veterans. We continue the fight by creating a community for disabled veterans, their families, friends and allies where they can have the support and camaraderie they need and desire. We continue the fight by providing financial assistance to disabled veterans and their families who are in dire need. We continue the fight by getting involved socially and politically, in every way possible, to shine a light on the struggle disabled veterans face, educate the public about the plight of disabled veterans and fighting for change in our local, state and federal governments to ensure that our veterans will receive the support and care they need to survive.

Through our website and Facebook page, we have created a community for disabled veterans, their families, friends and allies. This is an inclusive, nonpartisan community for people to share ideas and information, vent frustrations and raise concerns about disabled veterans and the struggles they face. We encourage open, respectful conversation and lively debate. We do not, however, tolerate or allow any hate speech of any kind, aimed at any person or group. This is a community that aims, first and foremost, to provide support.
The Political Side
We know first hand what it is like to be marginalized. To belong to a group of people that is diminished and overlooked because of situations beyond our choice or control. At CTF we are inclusive. We are not interested in who you voted for or which politicians you like. If you are a veteran in need of support or help, or you believe in supporting or helping veterans, you are welcome.
As such, we also believe in the support, representation and equality of any and every person who has been marginalized in this country. We believe in true freedom, true equality, as our forefathers intended and we will support and join in the fight for change in our nation. Prejudice effects us all. When we excuse or allow any discrimination or marginalization of anyone, we open ourselves up to excusing or allowing it for everyone. This fight must be inclusive to be successful and it will not end until we all enjoy support, respect and representation equally. We are trained warriors and we will fight for change in this country until no one is ever overlooked again.
Our Charitable Efforts
In addition to creating a community, CTF is a charitable organization that provides support and assistance to disabled veterans who are struggling and in need of financial assistance. As a small, grass roots organization, all of our funding comes from individual donors. We help disabled veterans and their families who are struggling to make ends meet, either because they are severely disabled and unable to obtain substantial employment, are facing financial hardship due to a devastating medical issue, or because they are waiting for their claim for VA benefits to be approved. Every dollar we collect goes to helping these veterans.
For Those in Need
While we dream big, and hope to be able to provide assistance for all disabled veterans nation wide, right now we are limited to our community. We are currently accepting applications for assistance from disabled veterans, or the spouse/dependent of disabled veterans, living in Virginia Beach or the Hampton Roads area.
To apply, you must be at least 18 years of age, be able to provide proof that you have a VA rated disability or have applied for VA disability benefits, provide documentation for the amounts of financial assistance you are requesting and be able to submit the application by email or fax. There is no limit to what type of assistance you can request or the dollar amount, though approval is at the discretion of CTF and is determined on a need basis.
